12.2016 - Production commences
Principle photography begins at the Star Trek Experience [Enterprise-D] sets in Beijing, China
01–2017 - Hiatus
Production is put on hiatus as we begin to review footage. later during this period, an upheaval in the fan filmmaking community occurs when Star Trek: Axanar is put under legal scrutiny by CBS.
10.2017 - Pick up shots
We decide to shoot additional B roll pick up shots to cover Zenderblatt and son Zed entering the turbo lift.
11.2017 - Story and script development
During this period we invite additional writers and form a writers room to expand the episodic story arc. Meanwhile Da Han formalizes and refines the pilot episode teleplay. Several meetings occur.
07.2018 - Post Production commences
Following the results of the Axanar debacle, we determine that we are legally clear to proceed with our series as planned, being that we are not monetizing it, and began production months before any new implications set forth by CBS were made.
09.2018 - interim Audio Production
As a lead up to visual post production to test character and plot cohesion for our pilot episode 'God in The Box', we're completing the first of 3 acts of the pilot episode in an 'audio only' format. The first segment of this audio version is set to debut on our official READY ROOM podcast sometime in 2019.
12.2018 - Post Production commences
A rough version of the first act of 'God in The Box' is completed in audio only format as a read through of the script. The recording includes music and sound effects; and was voiced by several members of the episode's cast reprising their roles. A refined re-recording is planned which will incorporate all three acts of the completed screenplay. Production art and animatics will be used to fill in yet to be shot sequences.
08.2020 - Post Production commences
After a major delay due to a portable hard drive issue, a rough cut of the first act of 'God in The Box' is now underway incorporating available live action DV and animatic sequences comprised of storyboards and stills. As this is a rough cut sound will be remixed and ADR looping incorporated.
12.2021 - Post Production nears completion
A rough cut of the first act of 'God in The Box' continues to be fine tuned in time for next years premiere.
Premiere - Tenative Date set for 2022 ('god in the box')
The first part of our two part cliffhanger has now gotten a release date. Exact month and day TBA.
06.2025 - Deyays and more time in drydock
While we'd hoped for a 2022 release it's probably better we waited as we have better upgraded. post production and VFX capabilities now that should help make things look even better...currently looking for a 2025 winter release for part 1.
09.2025 - ready to move out of drydock
Moving forward we've been putting last minute touches on the production parameters and now we'll be releasing tik tok style teaser segments via social media this winter. - Watch for that or you'll miss it. Also watch for our TBA indigogo fundraiser and other ways for trek'drs to get involved.
03.2026 - Moving into open source space
Having finished a few other lingering projects we've begun a serious approach into post production and have decided to go with shorter episodic segments. The rough cut of ep 01 is complete but now some fine tuning before we announce the release date.
